Privacy Policy

Your ideas belong to you. Here’s what we collect, why we use it, and how to make a privacy request.

Who this covers

This policy describes how UNKNWNLABS handles information through its redesigned website, UnknwnStudio, member accounts and contact experience. It does not replace a separate client agreement for paid work.

This website uses Wix for hosting and member sign-in, private Wix CMS collections for Studio drafts and contact submissions, and private Wix Media Manager files for voice recordings. Google Analytics runs only after you allow Analytics in Cookie preferences. Advertising pixels remain off. Level 1 offers an optional AI voice guide powered by ElevenLabs. Before starting, you are shown a voice-processing notice and asked to allow microphone access.

What we collect

  • Contact details: first and last name, business name, email, phone number and an optional website.
  • Account details: the name and email you provide, an account identifier, and sign-in information. Wix Members handles passwords and authentication for this website. UNKNWNLABS does not receive a plain-text password in its campaign or inquiry collections.
  • Studio inputs: your business story, industry, inspirations, interests, audience choices, content ideas, workflow/team answers and campaign title. This can include information about other people if you choose to mention them.
  • Voice information: original recordings, question identifiers, duration, and optional captions/transcripts. Do not record another person without their permission or include sensitive personal information, payment details, passwords or confidential customer records.
  • Progress information: saved answers, campaign revisions, save events and completion status, plus browser storage used to resume a draft.
  • Technical information: request information such as IP address, browser details, accessed URLs and errors may appear in server or hosting logs. Optional live analytics and advertising can collect additional visit and device information as described below.

How we use it

  • Provide and secure accounts, drafts, recordings and campaign downloads.
  • Tailor later questions, content suggestions and campaign pages to the answers you supplied.
  • Keep progress connected when you log in, return or reuse parts of a campaign.
  • Respond to an inquiry and, when you submit a campaign inquiry, review the attached draft and saved answers.
  • Resolve problems, maintain the site and respond to privacy requests.
  • When optional live tracking is enabled, understand site use and measure or personalize advertising according to your choices.

Submitting a contact request does not subscribe you to promotional email or SMS. Any promotional subscription must have its own choice and applicable opt-out process. Studio does not publish your campaign or send marketing to your audience.

Recordings, captions and AI

The microphone is used after you press Record and allow browser permission. You can listen back or retake an answer. Stopping or leaving the recording view releases the microphone. Saved recordings remain associated with their questions.

Live captions are optional and are off until you choose them. If your browser supports speech recognition, enabling captions may send audio to the browser provider’s speech service. That provider’s terms and privacy practices also apply.

The current game uses the available answers and transcripts to build a planning draft. It does not identify you by voice, authenticate you using a voiceprint, or interpret recordings that have not been transcribed. ElevenLabs powers the optional Level 1 AI conversation guide. The processing notice appears before you start. See Optional AI voice conversations below for provider processing and retention.

Recordings and campaign answers are not included in advertising pixels on this website. They must remain excluded when tracking is connected.

Who may receive information

Authorized UNKNWNLABS personnel can access private campaign records, recordings and contact submissions to operate Studio, support your account and respond to inquiries. Contact details and an attached campaign are saved in private Wix storage. Submitting the form does not currently trigger an automated notification email.

Wix provides website hosting, member accounts, private CMS storage, media storage and intake for this website. Google Analytics is connected for optional site measurement and runs only after your Analytics consent. Wix Analytics and Meta Pixel are not active. These providers may process information in the United States and other countries, depending on the feature and configuration.

The design currently loads fonts from Google Fonts. Loading a font makes a request to Google that can include IP address and browser/request information, independently of the optional tracking controls. Work videos load from this site; if an added library item uses a Dropbox link, playing it makes requests to Dropbox. Following an Instagram or other external link takes you to that provider’s own service.

For the live service, information may also be disclosed to providers supporting the features you request, when legally required, to protect people or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable law. We will identify additional analytics, advertising or voice providers before activating them. Do not treat an unnamed future integration as already in use.

Analytics, advertising and sale/sharing

Google Analytics is connected for consent-based measurement of page visits, service and work interactions, Studio milestones and successful contact submissions. We do not send contact fields, Studio answers, transcripts, audio, campaign identifiers or private links to Analytics. Advertising tracking, Wix Analytics and Meta Pixel remain off.

When configured and enabled according to your choices, these tools may receive page visits, referral information, interactions, device/browser information, IP address and cookie identifiers. Meta advertising use can involve sharing information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California privacy law. This is different from using your Studio answers to prepare a campaign.

UNKNWNLABS does not currently sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising through this website. Optional advertising tracking is off. Use Your Privacy Choices to manage your preferences. Advertising and analytics choices are separate; Global Privacy Control keeps the advertising preference off.

We do not use the older Do Not Track setting as a separate consent signal. Your Analytics choice controls optional site measurement. Global Privacy Control is handled as described above. See Cookies & Storage for the current storage inventory and planned tools.

Storage, retention and security

Saved drafts, recordings and inquiries persist in private Wix storage until removed by an authorized operator. Access to an unclaimed guest draft expires seven days after creation; that is an access limit, not automatic deletion. There is currently no automatic deletion schedule. Wix controls member sign-in session expiry; browser draft and recovery storage can remain until cleared. Closing a tab or logging out does not delete server-side campaign data. For the live site, campaign and voice retention, inactive guest-draft expiry and backup deletion rules must be set before launch and described here. Retention should reflect your requested account/draft functionality, inquiry handling, security and applicable legal requirements.

Studio checks access to private campaign records and recordings before returning them. No system is completely secure. Avoid including sensitive information that is unnecessary for your creative brief, and contact info@unknwnlabs.com with a deletion request or security concern.

Requests and your rights

You can ask to access, correct, obtain a copy of, or delete information associated with you by emailing info@unknwnlabs.com. Include the email associated with your account or inquiry and, if available, the campaign name. Do not send passwords, recording access tokens or identity documents in your first message. We may need to verify a request before disclosing or deleting private information.

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may also have rights to know how information is used, opt out of sale/sharing, limit certain uses of sensitive information, and receive equal treatment when exercising rights. Applicable exceptions can affect a request. Additional legally required request methods and response procedures will be confirmed before the live site launches.

Your Privacy Choices also lets you change local tracking preferences without signing in. Clearing browser storage can remove your device’s ability to reopen a guest draft; it does not itself delete the server’s copy.

Children and business use

Studio accounts and campaign building are intended for adults aged 18 or older acting for their business or organization. We do not knowingly invite children to create accounts or submit recordings. If you believe a child has supplied information, contact us so it can be reviewed and removed as appropriate.

Changes and contact

Changes will appear on this page with an updated date. Material changes to recording use or tracking will be explained before the new feature is enabled, with renewed consent where required. This policy reflects the website configuration described above as of its updated date.

Member invitations and the Researchlab newsletter

We keep a non-identifying browser hint after a successful member sign-in or account creation so returning members are not shown account invitations after logging out. We also remember invitation dismissal and active visit time. Clearing browser storage or using a new device removes these hints.

Creating an account does not automatically subscribe you to marketing email. Newsletter signup is optional. When you opt in, we save your consent and member email privately in Wix and update your Wix email subscription. You can unsubscribe through the link in a newsletter or contact info@unknwnlabs.com. Saved Researchlab reading-list bookmarks stay on the browser where you saved them.

Optional AI voice conversations

When you start the Studio AI voice guide, ElevenLabs processes your microphone audio, conversation transcript and the saved Level 1 story fields needed to continue your interview. It uses AI service providers to generate replies. The guide is AI, and transcription or replies may be inaccurate. Review your story before continuing and avoid unnecessary sensitive information.

Your confirmed answers and the voice input sent during the conversation are saved in private Wix storage, with access checked against your account or guest draft. Unfinished or untranscribed voice segments may also be saved. ElevenLabs call audio storage is disabled for this guide; its conversation transcripts are configured for deletion after seven days. Wix campaign data and recordings have a separate retention period described above. Pausing a call does not delete already saved records.

You may use the individual recording questions instead, pause or end the conversation, or request deletion at info@unknwnlabs.com. See ElevenLabs’ privacy policy for information about that provider’s processing. Voice access, call availability and session limits may change.
